Arts For Life Interns and Intensive Volunteers:
- gain hands-on experience teaching pediatric patients and family members of all ages and abilities at our Art Tables and Bedside Studios. They are regularly included in curriculum support, community outreach, lesson preparation, art kit development, and facilitating special events and workshops.
- receive direct, proactive support from experienced Arts For Life staff. Interns are trained extensively and evaluated regularly, and leave our programs with the skills necessary to thrive in a wide variety of educational and professional settings.
- are a vital part of our programs. Interns help us to provide thousands of additional hours of active arts engagement to our young artists across the state.
Summer Interns and Volunteers dedicate up to 20 hours per week for 12 weeks (May-Aug)
Academic-Year Interns and Volunteers dedicate 8-12 hours per week for at least one school semester (Aug-Dec OR Aug-May 2020)
All Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
All grade-levels and all majors are encouraged to apply.
For Academic Year internships, priority will be given to applicants who commit 2 full semesters.
To be considered for an internship, please email a cover letter, resume, and list of three references — all in one single PDF file — to the Program Director in your preferred chapter (see below).
Use the subject line “Summer Internship Application” or “Academic Year Internship Application” to indicate your preference.
