June is Animals + Paper Month at Arts For Life, and students across the state are creating fabulous specimens of every genus and species! Animals get the black-light treatment in this lesson, created by our Winston-Salem program director, Betsey McLawhorn. The end result is so bright you’ll have to wear shades!

On this 45th anniversary of Earth Day, Arts For Life continues our commitment to creating unique, student-made art with materials that may otherwise end up in a landfill. It’s a process that starts with a simple act of conservation and ends with beautiful, whimsical, touching, thought-provoking, synergistic artwork that indisputably makes our delicate world an even more beautiful place.

We’re thrilled to announce that Arts For Life has recently been awarded a $10,000 grant from Mission Health’s Volunteer Leadership Committee (VLC)! We will use the grant money to support our art table at the Olson Huff Center for Child Development.
