Arts For Life welcomes new Development Coordinator!

As a lifelong artist, Chelsea is excited to share the transformative and healing power of the arts with others as the Development Coordinator. New to Raleigh, NC, Chelsea grew up in Austin, TX, where she graduated from the University of Texas in 2018, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Russian. Chelsea started out as a grant writer for Special Olympics Texas, where she focused on modernizing grant language, approach, and best practices while increasing grant revenue. In 2019, she shifted her focus to share her love of the arts, serving as development coordinator at Creative Action, a youth development nonprofit bringing arts education programs to underserved communities in Austin. Since childhood, Chelsea has been deeply committed to volunteerism, nonprofit work, and community involvement. She is a member of the Junior League of Raleigh and greatly invested in serving her community. In her free time Chelsea is a serial hobbyist who loves experimenting with and learning new crafts, skills, and art forms. Currently, she’s obsessed with cake and cookie decorating. She is an avid runner, dog lover, new mom to baby Rory, and a true morning person.
